You can’t imagine my disappointment. After walking out of the quaint Barney Simon Theatre last night, I had no words. Being speechless is not always a good thing. And in this case, it wasn’t.

Malema on Osama and Obama

“DID it happen?” African National Congress (ANC) Youth League president Julius Malema asked incredulously yesterday, in light of the killing of Osama bin Laden.

He was addressing the National Press Club, and had journalists in stitches, as he moved from Malema-nomics to current affairs. Mr Malema reserved the biggest stick for his favourite enemies - the capitalists and the imperialists, whoever they are.

SA, Vietnam aim to double trade

THE aviation and tourism industries have been identified as among the key sectors that could increase the volume of SA’s bilateral trade with Vietnam to reach a target of $1bn a year .

SA and Vietnam were working on a plan to establish direct flights, to increase trade and to facilitate the movement of people, Vietnamese Vice-President Nguyen Thi Doan announced yesterday.
